    Hi,

I currently have a Eircom wireless network in my home with a wireless extender. I'm finding the network to be very erratic especially on the Xbox. Are products like this considered better than wireless networks or do they suffer the same problems?

wired just works...wireless as you say can be erratic.

those powerline yokes are "ok", but suffer low transfer speeds. 14 and 85Mbps is what they do on paper. Real world speeds are less, much like wired 100Mbps and 54Mbps wifi.

Powerline has probably improved since they came on the market first, but you would have to test them out to see if they are any good. Is there any way at all of running CAT5 to your Xbox? It will save you ALOT of hassle and heartache in the long run.
