Macklin looked REALLY good last night guys.

I have really good friends within Team Macklin (even picked up the new TEam Macklin geansai last night) and as I have done on here before I have slated Matty for being pissed up around CLare and Tipp (with Hatton on occasion)

But now I hear he is off the booze completely and putting the head down. Well it should last night - good work oout for eight rounds and then it looked like Woodhall just said to him - 'go in there and turn the heat up' - which Matty did and nearly stopped him as well.

Well done Matty - you looked great and in great shape

Well done Richie - a crackin trainer!

if he can keep his head down and work hard he can enjoy some success.hes a sound fella as well so it would be nice to see him make a good go of it.

That's very good to hear, he's going to be out twice more before the end of the year and I hope Warren steps up the opposition.

In 7 weeks he's fighting on the main undercard fight for Kell Brook v Kevin McIntyre(British Welterweight title) and it would be great if they could get Steven Bendall in there for a British title Eliminator and as an English title fight.

Then get him a decent International opponent before the end of the year and have him take on Wayne Elcock early next year.

However since he's with Warren there's the serious threat of a WBU title fight.
I know macklin would want to go the british route as Elcock is a midlands rival and a fight between them would be very big.

Warren may have to press Macklin harder than he originally thought, with Calzaghe leaving him and Khan losing, and only having one World title holder left(Nicky Cook) he needs a few stars before his young guns come through.

Maccarinelli does get a chance to regain his title soon though against Jonathon Banks, and I fancy him to do that.

Sligobhoy were you there early enough to see Stephen Smith ?
I've heard lot of promising things about him from the amateur game.

Any other undercard fighters that stood out ?

Yeah he's obviously one of the Smigga crew - I've seen both of his fights now.

Good compact aggressive style - pushes forward with both hands going like pistons. The stoppage appeared very premature but there wasnt much complaint. I got a picture of him and I'm gonna do a wikipedia page next next.

Missed Crolla and Mattie Hall - but seen Hall before and he was impressive.

Vassell or Bell didnt look much but Tony Bellew looked good again
