Good start to the Season by LI, beating the premiership champs Wasps 26-14 at Twickenham yesterday. Sarries went down 21-24 to Quins at home.

Two televised games on Sky today. Newly promoted Northampton take on Worcester Warriors, (Chris Latham's competitive debut for warriors makes this game a must see.) at 1:30 and a mouth watering clash between Gloucs and Leicester at 4:00.

West Country derby..Bath V Bristol, at 3. Should be a bruising encounter as always.

Another useless ref on display here its laughable how bad he is. For a start he gave Saints a penalty for a tackle off the ball when Spencer chipped kicked then didnt know where the mark is and trusted SPENCER to mark it for him 10 meters from where it should of been!

Then he disallows a try by Best because he thinks he saw a knock on that went backwards and never touched the ground. Nice one ref:rolleyes:

Agreed he was poor, and then realising he was having a poor day at the office, further compounds the sin by over compensating and becoming fussy.

Didn't spoil what was a very enjoyable game. Northampton look full of invention and guile. Very impressed with Spencer, the guy just seem to get younger. Thought Best had a barnstorming game for the saints...they certainly dont look like a team who'll be going back down revolving door style...

Gloucester/Leicester, a pretty dour affair. Gloucester looked rudderless in midfield and an absolutely terrible lineout. One G.Murphy had his usual mixed bag, absolute brilliance mixed with well, awfulness...scored a really nice try. Excellent defensive performance from leicester who now have three in a row at Kingsholm, thats gotta hurt the cherry and whites.!

Tell you what if Scott Gray was two years younger he'd walk into the Scotland team, he had a field day against the Warriors yesterday a master display of what a number 7 should be like.

Good weekend ahead, Wilkinson makes (yet another) comeback for the falcons against new boys Northampton. Sky showing Bath V Gloucester tomorrow. Be interesting to see how the cherry and whites respond to last weeks mauling....

Sale 18 Saracens 15, all points in the game coming form the boot..so much for expansive ELV style rugby!

Murphy with another try for Leicester this season good start to the season for him.

Wasps go down for two games in a row, to Worcester no less. Wilkinson drops 5 against Northampton, good comeback by all accounts. Anyone seen the guy? He's bulked up massively...

I guess when someone has got that amount of injuries you'd want to bulk up just to be safe.

100% kicking rate is great for him considering he kicked average around the mid 70's

Btw his tally was 5 Peno's 2 Conversions and one Drop Goal

Cipriani may make a surprise return for Wasps next weekend, not a moment to soon given their poor start to the season (3 straight losses), though they generally tend to start slow.....

Too soon imo out of personal experience and of knowing alot of other examples rushing in and playing so soon after a serious ankle injury can result in far worse injuries to it down the road.

Agreed, hope they're not pushing him back to get over a short term slump...

ITV 4 do a good highlights show at 6.30 on sunday evenings if you don't have sky sports. You can tune the channel in on any sky box.

To add channels to your "Other Channels" option, do the following -

With your digibox turned on, press the "Services" button (near the top of the remote).

Select number 4 (System Setup), and then 4 again ("Add Channels").

In the appropriate fields enter the following (you move through the fields using the up and down arrow keys).

In the Frequency field enter: 10.758,

The next three fields are toggle fields, i.e. using the left and right arrows will change the value.

    Toggle
    Polarisation to : v
    Toggle
    Symbol Rate to: 22.0
    Toggle
    FEC to : 5/6

Then select the last button -
    Find Channels.

Jesus Wilkinson has put on a huge amount of weight. Obviously trying to rival Carlos Spencer.

Like to see London Irish do well this year although top 4 is asking too much.

Caught some of the ITV highlights last night - jesus Staunton had some kicking game for Wasps, won the game single handed. 2 fine drop goals and no missed penalties.
Also London Irish made a great comeback to beat Quins, some great running rugby in that game...

Sadly though it hasnt prevented the curse of injuries being broken he picked up a serious knee injury against Gloucester last night. I mean god i feel really bad for him for a player who has admitted that the game had consumed him completely for most of his life and who always tried to get back to 100% fitness and showing glimpse's of magic to be then struck then by another injury its horrible to think what goes through his mind.

Brilliant result for LI against main rivals Gloucester today. Absolutely thrashed them to stay free and clear at the top of the premiership. Definitely the form team (along with Quins), playing superb rugby. What is it now? nine straight wins in all comps (must be looking good for the Euro Challenge cup this year too.) Long may it continue.

    10 wins actually :P

Again why England isnt comprised of Quins, Irish and Bath players is slightly beyond me but i guess there must be a hidden logic to selecting the majority of players from a team 3rd last in the table.

Aye, if Johnson doesn't get his act together surely Richards and Booth would be a dream ticket for En-ger-land? Mind you Johnno's got what, 5 years?...Although the omens aren't good...
