I really want to go to Mastodon at Vicar St but the idea of it being over 18's is putting me off I will be 4 months off 18 at the gig how strict are the bouncers when it comes to ID at over 18's gigs would it be safe to use someone elses passport/garda id who i look like?

    Any help would be appreciated!

you might get away with it if you look a bit older.

you also might get away with it if you used someone elses ID. do you look generic? :p

    go for it i say!

Just bare in mind that the security are well with-in their rights to call the Guards if they find you passing off someone else's ID as your own. The Guards will more than likely take you into custody while they call your parents. Not the sort of thing you would want happening in front of your friends.

Vicar Street security do ask for ID if they think you look under 18. Also bare in mind that if you are under 26 you are legally obliged to carry and present ID if requested.
