Washer is leaving food deposits on plates etc.
I have cleaned the arms and filters and they appear to be working fine.
I have topped up with finish salt. (as usual)
I use finish tabs as well. (as usual )
There is a good water supply and it appears to heat up as well.
    It also drains out fine.
The machine is about 10 years old.

Any ideas what I should check next.

    Tks for any ideas

Maybe the arms aren't rotating? Not sure how you'd check that though, maybe open the door of the washer mid cycle to see if the arms were rotating...

They are rotating. I set them at a point closed the door and checked again a few seconds later and position had changed. I repeated this several times.
I also put a cup in upper basked pointing upwards and it filled with water.
    Strange one this...

    Theres your problem right there.
I find a bottle of fairy liquid and some hot water for the dish washer is good enough. no need for fancy stuff.
Mine was Botched as well a few years back so I traded up and got a better model.
You can't expect a 10 year old to be able to wash your dishes properly.
You should be looking for 18+ really. Also, I find that if you consistently refer to her as the machine, the best results are not forthcoming.
If they still are leaving food deposits on the plate, try bringing up the subject nicely to your home appliance.
