Hi, just a quick question about my insurance quote up for renewal at end of the month.
Story is I rear ended someone at traffic lights in about March of this year; going about 10mph and no physical damage done to the car with photos to prove it. Anyway, the tramp is claiming whiplash and theres not been a settlement to the case yet. Just got my insurance quote from quinn and its jumped from €1200 to €2000! If case is settled and there is no payout, will this still affect my driving history i.e. no claims bonus etc. in future?

    Thanks

Yes, it will affect it regardless, as you caused an accident. I'd be fairly certain that you don't have a hope in hell of the case being settled without a payout for a few reasons - Quinn tend to pay out on claims quite quickly, even short term injuries receive a payout, and you drove straight into the back of someone.

Youur insurance can go up even if you didn't cause the accident, mine went up years ago after someone pulled out of a cul de sac and straight into the side of the car. (while my father - a named driver - was driving it)
