Sony Vaio Problems

I am having a problem with my VAIO laptop. I have already opened a support case as the Sony support site says I have a warranty until June 27 of 2009.

Anyway, my problem is that when I try to load up my laptop, the initial boot logo the Vaio one, stays on for ages and after that in the top left hand corner of the screen it says "operating sytem not found".

I tried to go into the boot menu pressing F2 but the laptop just hangs on a black screen. I left it for over half an hour and it still did no load. Any way I could fix this or any idea what caused this?

    Hi op,
If its in warranty just let sony fix it. Any attempt by you if you open it up or anything could void the warranty. also i had a problem with my sony laptop. I opened a case they sent a courier with a laptop case to collet it. Sent me update sms with the progress of the repair and i had it back in 4 days along with a phone call to check if it was ok. So your better off just letting them fix it

I opened a case on their e-support site on Saturday, no response since. Its really only been one day though since they are not open on the weekends. Whats the deal? I am considering ringing them at this point.
