Seen this in indo this morning,

    Sony vaio VGN-NR38E

    T2390 processor model number
    1.86 GHz processor clock speed
    533 MHz processor bus
    2GB RAM
    160GB Hard drive
    15.4" LCD screen
    Vista Ready

You get a bag, optical mouse, printer, scanner all in one plus 3 years warranty.

    This is 569euro....Any good?

For a Sony it's very well priced. For many users this laptop is very capable for daily tasks.

I bought my girlfriend the same laptop a month ago from Dabs for €518 + €13 delivery. (no bag, nouse or printer and only 1 year warranty)

The D.I.D offer is very good to me.

Harvery Norman had some very keely priced Laptops advertised in today's Indo, further reduced if you took eircom broadband with them.

I'd say that's a very good deal, considering it's a Vaio, includes the extras and especially the 3 year warranty.

Does Vista Ready mean it comes with vista installed? If it does 2gb RAM really isn't enough. It will feel sluggish!
If its XP it sounds like a good deal.

    Imo, 2GB is sufficient.

2gb is reasonable to run vista smooth but for some serious multitasking(I mean as in leaving a game open and using photoshop etc) get atleast 3gb and you will notice a massive difference in vista.
