Out of curiosity, why do you consider Holly a broadleaf?

OK now I understand where you're coming from. Holly is an excellent tree but unfortunately a very slow grower. Some other evergreens which you might consider include:

    - Pittosporum
    - Cotoneaster (various varieties)
    - Mahonia (remove lower branches to achieve tree like form)
    - Magnolia Grandiflora
    - Olea Europa (Olive Tree)

There are more but these are the ones that we use and are generally readily available.
