Whiplash(irl) from Galway are looking for pubs/venues in Monaghan/Louth that would welcome a metal tribute band. We cover select stuff from Maiden, Slayer, Sepultura, Motorhead, Metallica etc, with originals in the pipeline. We've also just been signed up to a tribute project to british thrash legends Onslaught, and are recording two tracks for it in the next few months. I'm originally from Carrickmacross (left 11 years ago), and am not up to date with where might suit a band like ourselves. Any suggestions??

For Monaghan town try McKenna's,The Brewery. Thats the upstairs bit of the bar. Castleblaney is a bit of a shambles when it comes to gigs so i would stay well away from that, you could even try the Spirit Store in Dundalk, they could have some tribute bands nights.
