Hi everyone.. My downloads are poor at the minute and I see that my peer listening port is closed. Is there any way to solve this?

The strange thing is though that I have done nothing differently regarding my settings. Could it be something to do with the latest OS X security update?

While getting very good speeds on my connection, it still says that the Port is closed. I have the port forwarded so not really sure why it gives that message

The website they checked if your port was open or not has been down for the last while according to one of their releases.

Thanks for that, never really investigated as I was getting decent speeds.

Funny you should say that you have been getting decent speeds cause mine have picked up over the last day or so. I am presuming it has something to do woth the latest security update. It would be too much of a coincidence otherwise. I forwarded ports myself late on friday night and it is still registering as closed so i'm at a bit of a loss as well.

I tried lighthouse and it works.

What would you call decent speeds?

I have a little yellow face on Azureus, but every time I mess with my port settings it leads to days of grief, so I'm leaving the dratted things alone and just remembering those <sob> happy days of green faces.

That Lighthouse is a lovely app. But one question: Word keeps asking me if I want to allow incoming connections - No! - is this to do with Lighthouse, and is there some way to say "always deny"?
