Unknown W123 dashboard warning light

I recently bought a W123 280 TE and just the other day the "RS" warning light suddenly lit up.

Does any one know what this light means?

Have spent the last few day googling, and going through Merceds Benz forums to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any help.

What colour and where on the dash is it located?
I've got two w123s on the driveway and had several others... and haven't seen an RS light. What is it - restraint system?

Its red and its on the left-hand side of the "Fasten Seatbelt" light.
Its on the right hand side of the run of warning lights.

I'll see if I can upload a picture tomorrow.

Exactly that's it. Check the contacts in the 2 front belt buckles, they sometimes have a resistance problem.

You've a fasten seatbelt light? Is this a US spec car?

Not only do I have a fasten seatbelt light, I also have a warning buzzer that goes off for the first few seconds after you start the car in conjunction with this light.

Fastening the seatbelt before you start the car seems to make no difference.

And yes its a US car.
