2-1 win

Ed and Conor with the goals. Good performance overall, they made a few positional changes at half time and it caused us a few problems. We got back on top and could have scored another goal or two.

decent win. we hit the crossbar 3 times before we scored and we were starting to get frustrated. they had a period of dominance for about 10 minutes in which they could have scored twice but we took the lead then. it was a super cross from art, i pretty much just had to get my head to it and it was in. they equalised with a shot from distance, but we took the lead again, this time Ian put in a super cross for Conor to head home. both our goals highlighted the benifits of getting quality delivery into the box. 2 super team goals really, both we well worked and hard earned.

we had some great passages of play. eddies assist to mark who hammered off the bar was one and then Eddie, Ian, Mark and Art all combining one touch for Eddie to smack the top of the bar was top class play.

Gav, Larry and robbie all pulled out late this afternoon/evening, so we had 12. fair play to cathal for playing for the opposition as they were a man down. so everybody got a full run out.

I still can't believe I did that.

As for the game, I thought we were dominant both in the air and on the ground and composure on the ball with 2 great goals and there could've been others. It was a struggle at times in the second half to clear the ball which disjointed our game a bit. Well earned and well created win.

have to say i thought Keith was outstanding at RB as was Conor in CM. Peader making his first full game also show very well on the wing and was not afraid to take his man on.

its going to be a headache to pick this team with the good squad that we have

Good result lads. Sorry I couldn't play, needed a run around. Won't make Monday's game either because of work.

Sounds like a good bit of connectivity on the pitch.

Was a good game, in the first half we really controlled it, passed very well and talked to each other and were unlucky not to be a goal or two up.

I think we were very fast out of the traps for the second half and that caused us some problems as we were really pushing forward for a goal and it left us exposed a couple of times. Once they scored I think we settled back down and started playing football again and deservedly we stuck it in the back off the net.

Some good performances all round, from my point of view Mark in RM and Dan in CB were excellent, Peadar also played very good.

Also I think the team is starting to gel together, we know each other form the games we play and are starting to expect the passes etc from the man with the ball a lot better.


It also seemed we had a lot more running in us last night which was good we won the aerial battle comfortably.

And finally we played like a team we encouraged each other, even when something was tried and it didnt work out, for their goal there were a few shouts of support for Daryll (just don't let it happen again ) where as the other team were b*itching at each other for a large part of the game.
