    Hello to all

Flying to UK tomorrow as I am studying there. Booked a flight with Ryanair, God please be with me. They were the only choice I had!

I have read and re read their terms and conditions!

They say if you check in one piece of luggage it must be no more than 15kilos. Right?

I paid for 2 bags. so therefore I have one weighing 8 and one weighing 5 therefore 13 kilos in total so thats ok yeah?

Im really getting quite paranoid that they ll come up with some reason to charge me extra.

For hand luggage I bought a new bag. On the conditions it says the dimension should be 55, 20 , 40. I understand that EVERYTHING must be in that one piece!

I actually got out a measuring tape to measure the bag in the store:D (must ve looked mad, but i explained I am flying Ryanair and the girl gave me an understanding look)
It looks big though. I d have tjought it looks too big. But if ryanair dare object I ve got a measuring tape to prove its within the dimensions. I can rely that they will follow the rules right written on the website? Ive got it printed out to show them.

I ve just heard some awful stories, about them charging or refusing handluggage

I also heard they actually have a tray where they will make you put you hand luggage to make sure it fits the right dimensions.

I flew to Brussels 2 years ago and it wasn t like that then.

Anyone have any recent experience? I normally wouldn t be sooo worried but I am moving there and I have so much to do, I really don t need extra hassle at the airport. I think I would be at serious risk of a meltdown if they told me I couldn t bring my bag on board!

Perfectly fine. its 15 kilos per bag checked in (and pre paid as you have). if its above that you'll ghave to pay and they're strict. It seems you've loads of room though

On hand luggage, you'll have no problems at all. I've seen huge bags crushed into the overhead compartments. if you bag has the measurements, you're just about Ryanair's perfect customer. They have a tray to measure but I've yet to see anyone use it.

Mistake! It's 15 kilos total. OP has it right, and should be fine.

Wow, genuinely sorry for the mistake.

I'd have been caught with this myself (if I wasn't so cheap to try and get everything in hand luggage)

    Thanks for the reassurance!
Ive got measuring tape if they even try to say its over -sized:cool:.
God, this is very reminisent of "meet the parents". Remember the guy ended up getting arrested as he wouldn t check in his hand luggage and went crazy at cabin crew:D
Anyways hopefully Ill avoid such a scene!

This is probably too late for you now but here goes: SWMBO flew with them last week and had no problems going to Bournemouth. One thing, you have to have toiletries in the small plastic see-through bags which can be got at the airport security and you seem to have the bag dimensions right. Other than that everything was hunkydory. Don't be afraid of them - they're not as bad as people make them out to be. Just dont be thinking about Michael O'Leary!!!
