    NEARtv is a training and production project producing programming for Dublin Community Television. It is part of the near media co-op which runs near90fm. It is a communally owned, not-for-profit and is operated by a democratic co-operative, open to all organisations and individuals in Dublin North-East.

    We have a vacancy for a tv production and training coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all the training and production activities.

    Duties:
    This person will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of neartv.
    Co-ordinating the production of neartv programmes for DCTV
    Support and manage active volunteer participation in TV production
    Responsibility for liaison with all project structures
    Sourcing and Co-ordination of TV training and Technical needs
    Development of neartv team (staff and volunteers)
    Development of programming which reflects a community development ethos, and which is relevant to the needs of the local community

    Experience (Essential):

    Training and adult education experience
    Experience of working with volunteers
    Managerial experience in the community sector
    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    Understanding of budget and financial control procedures
    Excellent team working and representational skills
    Project management skills

    Experience (Desirable):
    Television production skills
    Experience and understanding of Community Media
    Experience of Policy development.
    Technical/TV experience; cameras, editing etc.

    Salary scale: 28-38K with possibilities to move to higher scale.
