    Hi

so after putting back together a few bb showers over the last week or so, I thought I should share some of the info that i have worked up (and found etc) together into one place.

First up, I was working on 2 madbull 204 bb showers, one 180 bb Classic army (I think) and one 120 rd classic army.

All were well used and in need of much tlc.

First up to supplies. Most of these had missing bearings, worn out o-rings, and soft springs.

Ball bearings are easy to come by - most bicycle shops have em - the madbulls take 4 x 4mm ones (5/32 inch bearings if you prefer). one of the CA ones had a different arrangement where there were two ball bearings per opening - these are 3mm bearings (for the curious). most places give you a hundred of each for a euro or two.

note to the section below - I work out in west dublin, so thse guys are all local to me - I am sure there are others, but these were the handiest.

The o-rings were a little harder to track down - I found abbey seals, http://www.abbeyseals.ie/ who were able to set me up the 3 different seals I needed. again, a euro or two for a couple (about 10) seals. I got them measured there on the spot - I can dig out a micrometer if anyone wants the exact details. Diameter and thickness of the o-ring are the two main things to make sure are ok.

Springs - found C&C springs, Ballymount Drive, Walkinstown - 624 97522 - was able to pick up springs to fit all types in about a minute - some of them are 4 inch lengths that you have to but to suit, but they work really well. of the springs I needed, 3 were 7.5mm x 31mm, one was a 4.5 x 31mm spring (for reference, the only thing you really need is diameter - you can cut to suit in terms of length) - I bought mostly 4 inch springs and clipped them to fit.

Silicon grease - so this is essential to keep all the bearings in place - I found Reliance Bearings - http://www.reliancebearing.ie/contact.html in JFK again. 100ml tubes of Molykote 111 Compound (standard Airsoft silicon grease essentially) for ca. 15 euro for 100g - also comes in 1kg and 25kg if you really really need a lot of it :)

so there you have it. Probably someone could make a few quid off stocking these things in one place in kit form. It certainly would have been easier for me :)

Hope this is of some help

    Cheers

    T.
