Hi guys, i got the voucher for the "sign up a friend and we each get a free sky+ box" offer in the letterbox this week, and i have asked a friend to avail of the offer as she was thinking of going with sky anyway, if she agrees is her instillation free as well, and when i apply (as it states later) for my side of the deal, is the sky+ installed for me as well, sorry if these questions seem silly but before i ask someone to sign up to this deal i want to be clear of the logistics.

one more thing, where can i get my contract number ?, is it on the back of the sky card ?

    many thanks.

    voyager

I can't say whether their installation will be free, but it will state on the offer what the charge(if any) is.
    Regarding your Sky+ box.
You are supposed* to get something in the box 4-5 weeks after your friend pays the first bill to allow you to get Sky+ installed for you.

*I signed someone up in March for the Sky+ offer then and I'm still waiting for mine...long story!

I, too, got this offer through the post. Don't know anyone who needs Sky though...

The "friend" voucher plainly states "Offer available to brand new Sky TV customers. Standard installation €50"

Not sure whether the current Sky customer gets charged for the upgrade/installation of Sky+. I looked at the offer again, and even read the T&Cs, but it's not clear, but I would not be surprised if it is charged...

done it yesterday for my brother. i introduced him. he took the hd offer( 74.50). firstly he pay,s 124.50 by laser or credit card.he also has to pay a 15 euro per month for a hd package because he,s taking a cheap hd box. the 124.50 is for the box and 50 for the installation. his first month,s viewing is free but this is not applicible to the hd package. you pay that every month. it,s the usual 12 month policy. i on the other hand want to get a plus box for introducing him. this i am allowed to do even though he got the hd box. the only draw back is that i have to ring sly when he has the box up and running. i,m not too sure but i,m expecting to pay the installation fee also. maybe this is their trump card. as an existing customer we all know that this crowd just turn the knife on us once we sign up. hope this helps a little

Has any existing customer called sky yet after introducing a friend? Is there a 12 Months contract involved? And do existing customers have to pay for installation? From Sky+ to Sky HD all you have to do is change the boxes as the wiring and all is the same! Can't Sky just post the box or something?

Bugger! we're after loosing the leaflet that was sent in the post.

Could anyone please post up the instructions to avail of the offer?

Importantly - the phone number we have to ring.

    Will really appreciate it, thanks.

Theres absolutely sfa info on the irish sky site.

Is this offer still available, does anyone know? I just see the €75 offer on their website, and in the Sky mag. My folks have decided to get Sky+, does anyone know if either offer is available if they go for the installation without the phoneline (tv is nowhere near a phone point), also do they install a Quad LNB (hoping they do so I could add an FTA box in another room) Thanks

    Hey,

Just to let you know, I tried ordering this yesterday and they told me the system was down and someone would call me back today, called them back myself just now and they tried to tell me there was a c**k up with the vouchers and they couldn't honour it. Needless to say I complained and they agreed to honour it in the end but if you are planning on phoning today be prepared to get tough if needs be :D
