Anyone got a cold?

Dying in bed last few days with aches, pains, congestion, sneezes, headaches etc. When i sneeze i get these terrible shooting pains from my neck to my shoulders ,chest, arms etc. Is there a virus doing the rounds at moment and i dont mean the one that yore'ma has. Could be the ghey i suppose but i still dont get turned on by men yet. More flu remedy for me i think and sleep.

Had a really bad throat and headache for two days, a ****ty nose and aches for a day... Then it went again

Got it from attending a big wedding last weekend i think. Loads of young couples with young kids at it who are bound to be carrying these bugs around. Massive drinking all weekend did'nt help either, 3 day hangovers overlaping with the flu aint nice kids.:(

No such luck last weekend. Just meeting up with all mates who flew in for wedding and drinking myself silly.

Yep, I've been completely stuffed up and had a sore throat since Monday - sore throat is gone now, but still blocked up, which is the most annoying thing ever!

Cough/cold, beginnings of a chest infection if I'm not careful according to the doctor...and a whole pile of deadlines coupled with people on holidays in work. Oh teh joy!:rolleyes:

Got myself a real ****head of a chest infection over the weekend there that has me on enough steroids to see me banned from athletics for life (if I was an athlete), enough antibiotics to have me investigated for being a human bio-warfare factory & an inhaler to help me breath during the day, with a nebuliser for nite time ......

Kids, if you feel wheezy, go see a Doc & get it sorted, cos right now I've enough medication & a lack of a voice that it is seriously unfunny.

Did I mention the coughing up blood from tearing the back of my throat from coughing alone???

I've been off work with if for the last three days. It's a bloody horrible dose that doesn't seem to shift.

I have a deviated septum (look it up if you dont know what it is ) which results in chronic sinusitis which I have from September to May, and for the summer months hay fever takes over. Other than that, I'm grand!

I got a chest infection last year
turned nasty and developed asthma at 24
got worse, very bad breathing problems and constantly on/off steroids
now have developed this thing called churg strauss syndrome
its a right pain in the balls
sick for a year - feckin get ya down!! Specialist after specialist
I try not to let it get to me and there is days when i feel okay, very wheezy n phlegmy tonight though :-(

If its sinus/blocked nose related try steaming using olbas oil/vicks.
Flixonase spray is very good and gargglinh salt and warm water works well too.

Yeah, a very nasty cold maybe, but flu is actually a serious illness which people don't get that often and which can kill the more vulnerable members of society. I got the flu three or four years ago - first time since I was a little kid. Holy crap, it's scary...
