Wondering if I did the right thing. Won't go into long boring details. Was meant to meet a girl tomorrow night, have already met once. Nice person but not 'my kind' if that makes sense, didn't feel any click. Plus she mentioned something about babies the first time and that, was more than a little scary.

Anyway she rang twice earlier today and sent three or four texts, all of which I ignored. Now I know that's a bit chicken-ish but hey, sue me.

The other option was to meet up for a bang and never see her again, or at least, not more than once again. And I kind of thought that was a bit cruel, and also that she might find out where I live and follow me and force me to make babies and live in perpetual hell for all eternity. *Mild* exaggeration there.

Anyway, your thoughts and comments would be much loved.

    Thanks,
    TBT.

Ring through to her voicemail or text her [I'm presuming you won't actually ring her] and say you have decided you don't want to get in to a relationship at the moment so you'd prefer to leave things. No harm in being a bit nice about it.

Just ring her and say you are not interested. No point messing her about and if you are that desperate "to meet up for a bang " then I feel sorry for you.Just do the decent thing.

Ignoring her isn't the best way, you only had one date, so not a big deal, better ring/voicemail/text message and say no thanks.

Better you didn't use her for sax,

Could well be your loss....now you'll never know.

Don't get me wrong - I know well how throwaway comments can freak someone out, but the fact is that not so long ago, someone nearly freaked me out with comments like that after a week or two....

I rode the storm, so to speak, and had a great time with her.

Yeah, it went pear-shaped at the end and lots of friends said to me "you should've seen that coming" or "told ya", (and, in a way, they were right) but despite the headwrecking end, I would have missed out on a few great months last year and some great times if I'd legged it at the first sign, and I'd always have wondered "what if....."....

went on a blind date recently where this happened. not with babies, but her mouth ran off without her about her ex boyfriend and the crazy situation that involved (no wait..that involved him having a baby with another woman so yes, there were babies mentioned in an odd way) and I'd be lying if I said that didn't clearly send me the signal she was not at all ready for a new relationship. And we didn't really click either. I told her as much though, I didn't slink away. Better for the karma.

Just ring her and tell her. It's good manners. Simple as.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Do the decent thing and phone her or text her and say it was nice to meet her but you don't see it going anywhere and wish her well. Don't let her humiliate herself by trying to make contact when you clearly don't want to be contacted. Grow some balls my friend.

For some reason the rest of the thread won't load but your post, so I'm going to say this. Tell her you don't think it's working, rather than making her guess and question what is happening. Just tell her you know she's a great/beautiful/nice girl but you don't think ye work together. It's alot better then ignoring her. She'd hate you for ignoring her and you won't be thought of the best for you actions, so just end it maturely and just tell her.

ring/text/leave VM and just tell her and then move on. Lifes to short to waste on people you have no genuine interest in.

Talk of babies and sending several texts/phone calls is stalkerish behaviour so your prob not the first lad to run a mile. leave her go find someone on her own wavelength
