Hi Guys

So Trail cameras!!

To be honest I always though they were a bit of a nonsense, but recently I was looking on another forum and it made me think again.
The quality of the images at night as well as during the day was quite good. From the point of view of a deer stalker it offers the opportunity to observe your area with out disturbing the ground. And get a handle on what is happening. Of course nothing will replace the man on the ground but they could complement this quite well.
I am sure a lot of trial and error is involved in the setup interms of locations.

Does anyone here have any experiance with trail camera's? If so please advise.

i have had no experiance with them but from reading up on them on cabelas.com i was thinking on getting one they seem like a good idea

ok so back injune when i was in south africa working with Mayogi Safari's they just got in sum new bushnell trail cams i must say the images were quite good even with the infered camera but it didnt have that much of a range, They place the cameras where they are after leaving feed for the animals but the one thing its really good for is finding out what time the Baboon come down fromthe mountians. Also we found the batteries run out in them very quickly so we ended up fitting a car battery instead.
After all this i am really thinking about getting the same type they have but i will be placing them on well used deer tracks and i mean really well used.

Sika_Stalker can you tell me what kind (model) of bushnell trail cam you were using in africa, is it any of these
