    *** IF YOU HAVEN'T READ LABYRINTH OF EVIL OR WATCHED THE CLONE WARS CARTOONS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER SOME MAJOR SPOILERS HERE SO BE WARNED!! ***

    Did anybody read Labyrinth of Evil and notice that it totally contradicts what happens in the Clone Wars Animated Series??

    The kidnapping of Palpatine which sets the scene for ROTS is totally different, as is what happens to Obi-Wan and Anakin just beforehand.

    In the book Obi-Wan and Anakin are on Thyte chasing Dooku before they are called to go after Palpatine on the Invisible Hand, whereas in the Animated Series they are on Nelvaan. Both stories bare a lot of significance toward Anakin's turning to the Dark Side...but they can't both be what happened, unless he had master the power of being in two places at once...

    I have seen a couple of explanations for this online, but in to be honest I think it was just a major f**k up...

    One such explanation for the "were they Nelvaan or Thyte" question is;
    If we take everything we've seen at face value, Anakin and Obi-Wan's adventures immediately prior to RotS go something like this: they defeat the Separatists on a rainy planet that may or may not be a very loose interpretation of Cato Neimoidia, get ordered to Nelvaan, then forget entirely about that, spend a month or so hunting for Darth Sidious, ultimately end up going after Dooku on Tythe...Dooku flees, they find out Coruscant is under attack, decide "we've got to help them!", then...decide instead to chase Dooku to his decoy destination of Nelvaan, where they have a nice, leisurely adventure over what looks like at least a day or two, not involving Dooku in the slightest, then board their ship, find out Coruscant is under attack again (or, perhaps more accurately, is still under attack), and THEN go to Coruscant to rescue Palpatine.

    A lot of explanations seem to play out like this, but it's a little swiss-cheesy in my book...plus it doesn't explain why the kidnapping itself is played out totally different in each...

    Anyone have any thoughts on this??
