Cancelling a cheque

    Was wondering what are the procedures for cancelling a cheque? It's bank of ireland.

    Last time I did it (with AIB) I just phoned accounts in my branch and explained to them the reasons why, then followed up that day with a letter with the cheque details (cheque number, payee, amount etc.) Cheque was cancelled without any hassle.
