    How long before yer taste date do you get word? I applied a good few weeks ago, legally cant do it till october 19 because of 6 month law

    I think around 6 weeks before you here anything is about average, then when you get called the date will usually be nearly 2 months in the future so you probably wouldn't get a date until the end of October at this stage anyway.
    (Depends on where you are, if you're left with RSA or given SGS etc so obviously times can vary a lot!)

    Can you pick and choose, I applied for an RSA because ye have to but its in navan. I want to do it in drogheda

    No- you only select from the RSA test centres. It's luck of the draw where you'll actually get picked to do your test. Silly really.

    I asked politely to do my test in my local SGS centre (I live 5mins from one) in the comments box of my RSA application and I got it no problem.

    Also if you get your date before you can sit the test just rearrange it. You should get a new date for 4-5 weeks after the initial.
