    I got one of these

    which I tried using in combination with this

    but once I have the signal going through the combiner, the remote no longer works and the picture quality degrades slightly. There is a Power indicator on the combiner but there's nothing in the hole where I would have though a power adapter would have been plugged in. It didn't come with a power adapter either. Does anyone know if there should be power to this combiner and if not, how do I get it to work correctly?
