This may be a silly question as I haven't fully thought it out but I can't help wondering how many people reckon they could beat Usain Bolt over 100 metres - from a standing start? Remember - he's running and you're on your bike! You would have to do it in approx 9.7seconds.

I doubt anyone could, even track sprinters, would take too long to get up to speed.

+1, by the time you're up to a speed comparable to UB, the race is over

Would he beat any of us if we are running 100m and he's on a bike? :pac:

maybe over 200 metres would be a better chance.

I think on a bike it will be impossible to beat Bolt.
On 200 meters this guy might have a chance:

200 meters sprint on a track is not from a standstill of course.

Reminds me of that joke from a while back: I could beat Marurice Greene ... on a Kawasaki.

How good would Bolt be over 30km or 150km?

    Horses for courses.

    Uphill? No.

    Downhill? No.

    On the flat? No.

    In Outer Space? Perhaps!
