Final query with regards to inside the mind of a guy, but when he guesses your age is there a general rule of thumb that he deducts a number of years (just in case!ha)?

Iv heard about a 5 year rule, is this true?

    Thanks

suppose it depends on how volatile he thinks you are. I wouldn't deduct anything

I doubt it, if they are really worried about offending you they would probably refuse to give any number.

Not sure if this is serious enough for PI.

We try to guess on the low side, but there is no rule.

    QFT

I will generally try to give an honest opinion but that has turned very badly sometimes, so now if I feel she is volatile I will take a few years off

Personally, I tend to be vague.

Late twenties; early thirites.... that kind a thing

If I am trapped into saying somethign specific, I will go over by a year or two, but never as much as five.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

it's proportional to how much you wish to avoid confrontation.

Not suitable for PI, but if a girl asked me to say what age, I'd always aim lower, because if she asked me to guess her age, I figure she wants me to know that she's done something that she believes makes her look younger. Sometimes if I'm in the mood, I'd say an age she'd never be. (Like 62).

Never heard of a 5 year rule.

I just say 21, that works with 18 year olds as well as 27 year olds.
