    I know that was Northern Ireland,,but

    Could a similar sentence be handed down in the republic? Or,, apart from a cruelty charge,,, can a dog be dispatched here ,, even if you terminate their bow wow with extreme prejudice ,, without fear of proseceution ,, as long as you own the dog?

    I also thought there was a proscription against preparing dog or horse meat in Ireland for human consumption,,, but I could not find one.

    Do dogs have rights,, that say, cats and mice don't? or is that only in northern Ireland?
