    I'm thinking of buying one of these. Whats a good price? and anyone have any opinions about this radio? thanks

    It's very nice radio, if you need tiny small...

    I've had a VX1R and used a VX2R. I have VR500 receiver, similar size and OK.

    I'd maybe go for VX5, VX6

    But Icom E90 can be easily adapted for 4m also and is a better size handheld.

    I think a VX7 is a bit expensive for what it is. If you want APRS/Packet then the Kenwood handheld that has that built in is best bet.

    I'm happy though that I bought a FT817ND, as it's a real 5W when fully charged on NiHM and is much more versitile, but of course not a true handheld.

    Google for prices and also compare www.wsplc.com, nevada Radio, Martin Lynch & Sons etc, Classic Radio International in Netherlands and Wimo in Germany.
