    Nope! See my previous post HERE for more info on the cheque clearing cycle :)

    EDIT: IF the cheque isn't crossed, you can get cash for it in if you go to the branch the cheque was drawn on.

    If you have your salary going in or regular turnover the chances are they'll let you draw against effects uncleared.

    Ring them and say you want to buy a laptop over the weekend and need to use the laser.
