    Hi All,

I'm looking to to take Off Peak membership here and will look to use the 50m pool early morning. I just need to know if they do actually open at 6am and if the gym opens at the same time.

I'm looking to get a workout & swim in before 7.30am in order to get into work on time, and I just need to know if they are good on time keeping.

Do you find the 50m pool of benifit? It is kind of the main reason for me to switch across tbh.

    Hi there

Don't know much about the NAC but I do know that NAC Masters and NAC Swim Club both operate out of that pool so maybe some of the time might be given over to the clubs, especially late evening and early morning.

The above seems to have the details of the times and prices, perhaps that might help?

If you were interested in adult lane training for fitness and could make evenings then maybe NAC masters might right for you? They have a web site as well if you want to google it. They are a nice bunch of people (I know a good few of them) and they seem to have a very good set up there.

Why do you think a 50m pool would be a benefit?

I go there in the evenings. There's generally some lanes reserved for swimming lessons or masters swimming, but the public can always use the pool, right up to closing time. I've never had a problem finding space to swim in. The "aquazone" place next door is great for keeping kids out of the main pool as well.

More strokes per length, more work between turns, more time working on stroke, less time spent on turning per session.

I am a member of the NAC and I definitely find the 50m a benefit... you get more swim time between turns, and I find that a great benefit. I only ever go in the mornings and it's rare not to find a comfortable space to swim in.

The few times I have been in the evenings (25m configuration mostly) and weekends, it is much busier, but still swim-able.
