    Hi,

Is there anyone here who knows anything about or even uses GT / Geotech Irons ?
The lads in the Celbridge driving range shop supply and custom fit these, and Epon, and I'd be interested to know if anyone has any opinions on them.
These are what I am talking about:

    Cheers,

My view is always to look at what players on tour (any tour) use these clubs, or endorse them.

You might be best going for Wilson or Mizuno, even Cobra.

Just because a pro throes them out as a good idea does not mean that they are good.

Just because players on tour are/aren't using them doesn't mean that they are good/bad clubs. Half the guys on tour only use the clubs they do because of the $ they get given for doing so.

Check around some bigger golf forums and check out the feedback on them. Google the names and see what comes up. Failing that, try and get a shot of them and see what you think.

I believe that most of the players on tour are not stupid - and if Geotech clubs were worth using then at least a handful of the hundreds of players on the PGA/European/Challenge/Nationwide/Europro tours would be using them - and if they were anyway good, you think that at least one player would use them.

I cannot find evidence that any players use these clubs (open to correction)

What's good for a tour pro isn't neccesarily good for an average golfer and vice versa.

Going by your theory, there would be no room for an up and coming golf club manufacturer. The big companies have masses of cash which they can use to tie up players to use their clubs.

Automatically dimissing a type of club as no good because the top few hundred players in the world don't use is a tad remiss if you ask me.

As i said before, the OP should have a bash with them if he can and try and get opinions from people who HAVE tried them and DO know about them.

Yeah that's what I was trying to do Graeme ;-)
I would of course hit them if I was going to buy, esp as they are a custom fit job.

Was just trying to decide if its worth the hassle of heading down that road with them.
