Anyone watched this yet? Its a quite interesting view on the steroid and supplements culture in American sport, modeling and even porn!

The documentary maker himself is a bodybuilder, who claims to have never used. He has 2 bodybuilder brothers, one of whom is/was a regular WWE jobber who make no bones about their past and continued usage.

It interviews plenty people, from congressmen/senators to wannabe movie stars to magazine journalists to families affected directly by steroid abuse.

I enjoyed the show alot. It is certainly an eye opener to how steroids and supplements are used and their positives and negatives. The maker himself comes across well and seems to ask the right questions while holding some degree of balance throughout.

On the downside, it run a tad long at about 90 minutes. 60 would have been plenty. All in all, definitely worth watching though.

Ton of stuff, Ill need to look it up. Im sketchy on what is in the film let alone what isnt. But I do remember the brother tried suicide again and they are still on steriods. Mark Bell was forced to resign from his job because of the movie.

Really, didnt hear about that. I wonder is there any animosity between the brothers after that.
I dont think he portrayed them in the best light

From the 23 June 2008 edition of the Wrestling Observer:
A follow-up on the movie, “Bigger, Stronger, Faster” that we reviewed last week.

Mark Bell was forced to resign as a local coach because the movie was going to come out and before it did, he admitted to the high school students that he had lied and had used steroids. He urged them not to follow in his footsteps.

Mike Bell had a couple of more suicide attempts during the filming of the movie that a decision was made not to include in the movie. After the movie came out, he once again attempted suicide and has since been in rehab.

The office of Rep. Henry Waxman asked before the movie came out if they could do the interview again and that the original footage not be used. No surprise there. Of course, they went with the original footage.

Chris Bell himself had an emotional breakdown after his interview with Donald Hooton, the father whose son, a high school baseball star, committed suicide, which his father attributed to steroids. Bell freaked out because he started worrying about both of his brothers and their long-term mental health from all the steroids they used. He decided against putting it in the movie. Another scene edited out was Chris taking both of his brothers to a cardiologist to check for heart damage from steroids. Mark had no heart damage at all, while Mike, in his late 30s, after an examination, was found by the doctor to be a high risk candidate for a heart attack. The decision was made to edit it out of the movie because they felt it would be too complex to explain what that meant. It’s no different from smoking. There are people who smoke for 80 years and never have health problems and there are people who smoke for 10 years and get all screwed up. Chris Benoit had no heart damage whatsoever according to Dr. Kris Sperry, which shocked a lot of people since he used steroids for 21 years, whereas Eddy Guerrero’s heart gave out. Chris Bell’s conclusion was that Mark never used drugs, only steroids, while Mike used steroids, cocaine, ecstasy and other drugs.

This took some digging let me tell you.
