shot 2 greys last evening for a farmer friend who wants their numbers cut down big time on his farm and garden. its very hard to see them at the moment cos of the amount of cover still in the trees, but i managed 2 anyway,i'll go back up on saturday morning for a dawn raid.
any way, im going to eat the ones i shot, they're skinned and in the freezer. has anyone any idea of best way to cook em? i was going to go for the simple fried in oil method, theres a fair bit of meat on them for small vermin.

These dudes come in to my garden any time I leave feed out for birds. The dog hasn't managed to kill any, but got hold of one, they only thing he got was fleas really. They are riddled with them, so you might want to check your hair Whitser!!

(I'm in suburban Dublin, can't exactly go shooting them!)

Don't worry about fleas, they tend to leave as soon as the body temp starts dropping.
Just leave your kill lying where it fell for a while and the fleas should be gone.

Make hats out of the pelts. Ever see that Australian fella that kills feral cats to protect indigenous wildlife? He has made African tribal like headdresses out of the pelts with the heads included. Hilarious.

sure the kids retrieved them as soon as the hit the ground, better then any dog. going back on sat morning hopefully for a dawn raid, more active then. they do be in the coops eating the chickens feed.
