    Hi

I was wondering has anybody come across this. As i am stumped.
I have a Sony Vaio Laptop running Windows Vista with a Nvidia geForce 8400M GT graphics card. I was connecting this to my 32inch Sony Bravia LCD with no issues. Once connected with the VGA the display would pop up on the LCD. This is the 1st time ive tried to connect to the Samsung 32 LCD and nothing. It wont even let me choose the input for PC. Its shaded in grey. Dont know what the hell is wrong. Using the same VGA that i connected to the Sony with so its not the cable. . . Manual is no help either.

There is a compatibility issue between Samsung tvs and certain Vaios.
Ring Sony or Samsung and they will blame each other.

What resolution are you outputting from your laptop, and at what refresh rate?

What is the max supported resolution of your TV?

Are you definitely outputting from your laptop? Attach the 2nd monitor in Display settings to be sure.

    Have you tried other laptops?

My Samsung 32" doesn't grey out the PC input even when there is nothing connected. Possibly a fault with the TV?

    Check the service mode:
    1. Turn off the TV
    2. Press "info" then "Menu" then "mute" and then "Power" on your remote

Now see if the calibration ok's your PC input. It may show an error if it cant see it.
