Basically, the first one will work fine, but the rest are just screwed up.

I'll try to play them on WMP and get a codec error message. VLC just skips right through them or crashes.

8GB pen, but it seems to happen on the 32GB one at times.

Using USB 2.0 and have tried in on USB 1.1.

    I'm stumped.

    Any questions?

Have you tried copying over a similar sized amount of files? It might be corrupted memory.

    Yes.
I've done that. I've also formatted the drive and it still won't work properly.

Did you copy the avi files off the pen drive before playing them?

What did you use to format the pen drive?
