Was looking forward to getting tickets for this thing and got my presale code from O2 to get them today.

To be honest I've baulked at the ticket prices though, €285 for 2 ppl, WTF?

Just can't bring myself to click 'Purchase' - I'm sure Tina's good but that good? That's over half a month's rent ffs.

Yeah i know what ya mean id love to go to the concert but the ticket prices are crazy! the cheapest ticket is around 90 euro.. heard her concerts in the rest of europe are cheaper than here as well

Sher that is always the way. The avid Irish concert goer often gets screwed for an extra 50% than our european friends are charging for the pleasure. Of course with older artists, the big shots, as 'twere, they often have a licence to charge crazy prices. But generally that is offset by having it in a nice venue. Not in a ****e house like the point.

And you've been to the new O2, even though it's not even finished??

    :pac:

    bit harsh.

I agree the old Point was a turd centre. Hated it, and avoided gigs there where possible.
Really hope the O2 is similar to modern venues around Europe. About time we had one!

I'm willing to reserve judgement until I go to a gig at the new Point. I found in the past that if a band put on an amazing performance, it made up for the "turdness" of the Point. I reckon the refurbishments should improve it immensely.
