There was a few cars set on fire in swords at the end of last week, They seem to be spraying something on the front wheel and seting it alight. Is this the new craze???
The heat of one of the cars blew the house window in and it was a blessing that noone was killed or injured. Few kids running from the house at 3 in the morning, scary stuff!!

Close enough, about 2-3 mins drive up the glenellen feeder road

What time was this at? I was coming home from work about 1:15am and the dfb passed me on blues and two's passed me as i was sitting at the lights opposite the station, they headed down towards the old motorola factory heading towards glenellen

I'd say that must have been on its way to it. The first night it happened was at 1.30 then later on at 3.30 when all had calmed down. A few cameras have gone up over the last few days!

Good hopefully that discourage people, doubt it but its worth a shot.

I live on one of the estates backing onto the green at the end of jc's car park. The local scrotes went through a phase of about 6 months of stealing and burning cars (burn marks visible on the tarmac at the end of the car park), then it just died down and haven't had one in a long time.

So here's to hoping its just a phase.

As for spraying stuff on the front tyres, this got me thinking. The only thing i can think of is they spray some propellant on it and set the tire ablaze and the rest of the car follows suit. The rationale behind this im not sure but guessing its maybe to avoid breaking a window, setting the alarm off and the possibility the fire will be discovered before it takes hold.

Only guess though, who knows what goes through these idiots minds

Excellent deduction there, you should give CSI Miami a ring to see if there are any vacancies.

True, not sure how that happened. It was particularly witty though, I feel, so well worth the repetition.

BTW anyone else notice a drastic increase in traffic corps. checkpoints? Between lissenhall, outside swords business park and tonight watery lane, alot more then usual, and its not the local lads its traffic corps from santry manning them. All of a sudden there is loads, bar lissenhall as it always has checkpoints, but the other two are new

Definitely more activity alright, theres a check point set up at the boriomhe/rathingle junction on an almost weekly basis now. More traffic corps about in general too.
