Im flying off this weekend to Doncaster with Ryanair and would like a heads up on it

    Thanks in advance

Its always busy. Get there early, go to the gate have a beer and relax.

Saturdays are always the busiest day there, less so now as were just out of the peak season.

Same general advice goes, be there early-ish (no need to be there 3hrs in advance, 2 is more then enough). Remember ryanair use the cheapest gates so expect a long enough walk down to the plane.

Most of all bring any food you may want to eat with you, airside prices are a racket. Remember though liquid security restrictions are still in force so water, coke, beer etc will have to be bought airside, so keep a few euro in your pocket to get drinks etc

Cheers Fry - Ive "Ryanaired it" often enough to know how to have an enjoyable experience without shelling out more for crisps and coke than for the flight itself. €12 return is all this one cost me. My cheapest flight ever. And that includes all charges and CC fees! :D

The long walk to the gate can be a pain but sure were a lazy society that needs more exercise anyway! :pac:

Havent flown on a Saturday for some years though. Im getting a direct bus up from Athlone that day anyway.

What time in the afternoon? Anything after 1 or 2 and it should be fine, it's the mornings that are hectic. Just count yourself lucky it's not at 7am ;)

The walk is fine...15mins from security screening to Pier D, nice walk though some nice views of the airport from the new bridge and walkway for you.

Why do EI want you there 3.5 hours before hand? Madness imho.
