Mapped Drive using folder on second disk

I need to create a link to a folder on a second drive that is accessible to users who can access a mapped folder on drive 1.
At the moment we have a drive mapped as S:. One of the folders has been moved to a second drive and I nee to keep it so that users can still go to s:\folder_name.

easiest way is share the folder, and make a shortcut using the UNC path. Users still access S drive but the shortcut brings them to the new location.

Other way is more complicated.
Another way would be to mount the other drive as a folder in the location of wherever S: points to.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307889 Just set access rights to deny access to anywhere they should not be.

Im not sure you can just mount the folder itself, not in windows anyway.
