I'm not sure if liquidation sales have any kind of cheaper prices, but as some know, Golfworks is gone into liquidation and all their stock is up for sale in their Lucan shop (beside Woodies, across the road from the Foxhunter) this Thursday to Sunday, 9.30 to 6.00...

Does anyone know if the shop in Santry Omni will be doing the same? I see that the shop has been closed for weeks now..

Some of the stock will be alot cheaper anyway. The job of the Liquidator is to realise the value of all the assets to pay off the creditors so they need to sell everything essentially. Only way to ensure that is to reduce the price quite alot.

To the best of my knowledge, all of their stock is being liquidated from the one shop in Lucan.

A mate of mine went yesterday morning, looking for a new driver. He said even with any reduction he can still buy them cheaper online.

Yeah, I was down yesterday. Looks like most of the good stuff has gone back to suppliers. They have a tonne of Colt stuff that they're selling off for next to nothing. Anything else doesn't seem to be going particularly cheap.

It'd be a good place to go if you're a beginner looking to pick up a set. I got a driver, 6 iron and a putter for €90. Decent clubs too, I played with them yesterday.

Looked in the window of the shop today, loads of bags and irons still left in there. probably mainly left handed and Colt clubs but still. What will happen this stuff now, has the liquidator messed up by not managing to sell a significant quantity of the stock. Any chance of another sale with lower prices this time?

I'd say they'll either have another go, or if the stock isn't up to much they might try to sell it off to another retailer for next to nothing.

The liquidator has no real interest in profit, so if they can get anything even close to the manufacturer's price, they'll take it.

I went over and picked up a complete set of of Bay Hill Plasma clubs with Hybrid Irons plus stand bag for €200. I played with them on Sunday and I'm quite happy. I only started playing a few weeks ago and being able to get a full set for €200 was great.
