ive no idea to be honest, but im starting to worry if i'll like my course and just today i was wondering how often do internal transfers work out and all. Is it common to transfer??

Talk to your tutor as soon as possible, even before term starts. If you have the points, that's the first hurdle - then it's up to the course you want to move to if they have room for you. It might do no harm to go and say hello to that department. Here is some general information on the Senior Tutor's webpage.

you meet your tutor on freshers' week. just ask him then and he should sort something out for you.

You have the points and was said above, that's a good start. Without the necessary points, it would be completely out of the question. The best thing you can do is go and see your tutor as soon as you find out who they are.

When you go and see him/her, they will probably contact/get you to contact the relevant departments and find out if there is a space for you. If the departments say no, then it's dead in the water. However, there is more wiggle room in arts courses than in science courses which have strict restrictions in numbers due to lab insurance. He/she will then have you fill out a form saying why you wish to transfere and will make his/her recomendations. After that it is sent to the admissions office and its up to them from there although they will most likely confer to some degree with the departments.

Most important is to try not and stress about it, although that can be hard. There are only certain things you can do and once you are in contact with your tutor, he/she will best advise you.

Best of luck with the transfere.
