    Hi all :)

I am going to purchase a new laptop within the next couple of days:

    Budget: 1000 or so

Use: Business/Work. I need to keep data files secure and stored correctly.

Mobility: Very mobile, small latptop/notebook is good

Preformance: Doesnt have to be super quick. But dont want an OAP.

I like the Xps, but dunno about the styling... looks a bit plain.
(I no i looking a business laptop, but i still have class :P)

    Best Regards,
    Shane

If you want an XPS, the 1530 would be your best bet. There're know 'issues' with the 1330 version. Doesnt seem to be affecting the 1530 as much though. Besides, the plain look is a nice thing to have in a meeting with very serious looking mgt types. They tend not to take people who have laptops with garish graphics on the case seriously.

For a grand though, you'd get a much better machine out of one of the Studio 15's. They save a bit of money, and if you want a stylish lid with artwork, you can get one. They also look a good bit like the XPS....

Give ebay a gander. And look out for some MacBooks you might find for under your budget. :)
