    I currently have a 1GB RAM on my Dell inspiron 1501, whichi is running very slowly, even after a diganostics which made little or no difference, even after deleting over 600 spyware programs!!!)

    Is it easy to upgrade this to 2GB by buying the Ram on a website?

    (LIke Crucial.com

    http://www.crucial.com/eu/store/listparts.aspx?model=Inspiron%201501

    )

    If i do buy it can it be easily installed? Will it make my laptop much quicker??...

    The ram will make a difference but I'd say you're windows install has gone to shíte and that's really what's slowing it down. You should have a recovery partition on the drive, this can be used to get the computer back to the way it left the factory.It will wipe any applications you installed since and any data you put on the laptop so make sure to do a back up.

    That ram will work with the 1501 as well.

    I have programs on it n i dont have CDs to reinstall them... Can i combat that if i was to wipe it?...

    It was gud up to lately... Just slowing up now and having ALOT of non responsive programs which result in me having to shut my laptop off without shutting down...

    Well you can re-install without removing programs and data but it's not as good. The problems you are having aren't down to ram.
