T.O.D. Training Open Day

What do you think of this idea folks. You all know of the S.O.D - Speedball Open Day where we all get together for fun and play some ball. The S.O.D. is great, but how much do you actually learn each day, not much I reckon.

The T.O.D 'Tod' would be a little different. A good few of us have been to clinics over the years and we have all picked up some skills, but how often do you practice them. You do not pratice them that much during a SOD because there is often a mixed level of Skill there and you do not feel like going and beating down on new people:
You learn nothing and they leave the day probably not interested in playing again.

So the T.O.D. would be a day where we can get together and just do drills, sort of like out own clinic. All would be welcome to attend and it could be held at any speedball venue. You do not even need to have your own marker as the drills could be split up between groups of people and share the markers. One person looks and tells one person what they are doing wrong while the other us using the marker etc etc.

All the players on a team would be encouraged to come along as there is never enough practice that one can do. Teams should have their own private trainings then so they can discuss tactics, calls etc etc.

The end result would be far better S.O.D.'s as every one would be better and hopefully we could get a higher percentage or returning players because they learn the basics the right way from the start.

    Typical Time table:
    10 min warm up
10 min making sure your (borrowed) marker is set up right for you and holding it right
    15 mins per drill
    15 mins per drill
    break
    15 mins per drill
    15 mins per drill
    15 mins per drill
    15 mins per drill
    break
    Then a few games

    So to summaries:
    T.O.D. - Training Open Day
Bit of fitness and warming stuff
    Drills mostly
Let people learn the basics correctly
Teams should attend but have their own trainings for tactics, calls etc.

    Thoughts?
