    Hey,

I am experiencing download speeds of about 5% of my normal speeds (136KB/s instead of 3000kb/s) I have tried a few things but cant fix it.Did a search with Mcafee and couldnt find a problem. Went through my process tree and didnt find anything suspicious.

I ran HiJackThis and here is the logfile. It seems really long. Anyone able to help?

    Thanks

    Looking good

McAfee is a huge resource hog, I would remove that

    1. Please re-open HiJackThis and choose do a system scan only. Check the boxes next to ONLY the entries listed below(if present):

    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

    2. Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, including browsers, so that nothing other than HijackThis is open, then click Fix Checked. A box will pop up asking you if you wish to fix the selected items. Please choose YES. Once it has fixed them, please exit/close HijackThis.

    • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
    • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
    • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
    • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

    Hello

Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
    • Save it to your desktop.
    • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it.
    • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):
      [kill explorer]
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\E
      E:\autorun.exe
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{361ac05d-0e0d-11da-9aa9-806d6172696f}
      E:\setup.exe
      C:\WINDOWS\003201_.tmp
      purity
      EmptyTemp
      [start explorer]

    • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to Move" window (under the light Yellow bar) and choose Paste.
    • Click the red Moveit! button.
    • A log of files and folders moved will be created in the c:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder in the form of Date and Time (mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log). Please open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
    • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Oops forgot the E drive is a temp drive by Power ISO so I just unmounted them. Will that fix the issue revolving Moveit? I had the Command and Conquer download running with powerISO.

Your problem isn't malware related so not much I can do besides tell you to remove McAfee
