So we've moved house, and there's an alarm system in the place already. We have the numbers and so on, no hassle there, but I'm considering switching over to Phonewatch (well, doing some comparing in general, really). Does this count for "already wired for alarm", as on their quote page?

phone watch have certain standards when it comes to taking over wired systems. it depends on the panel and type of sensors you have. a lot of the time they will change the panel and sensors aswell as fitting a minimum of two motion sensors, this is to comply with there own standards in relation to the garda alarm policy. they mostly use hkc equipment and if this is what is installed in your house all they have to do is install a digi and connect up to your phoneline, the engineer would assess your existing system and advise you from there, alternitively you could contact your nearest phonewatch dealer, they are listed on the website and will basically do all the legwork for phonewatch, the dealers also do 99% of the installs and upgrades so if you do go directly to phonewatch it will still be more then likely a dealer who comes out to do the work. if you have any specific questions gimme a pm
