Linked your John Lydon pics to a Punk site.....would've liked to see the fuller picture ie: more of the band but I assume you had no press pass and were squashed up in the chaos of the front? It also appears the stage was high? As most pics you are pointing up.
I myself would never attend an Electric Picnic no matter what Punk bands would play it.. (not that 99.5% would)
So was quite happy to see some of the action of them there, cheers.

Really great shots Barry, did you have a press pass or did they just let you in with the DSLR?

+1. It's a stunner. Great expression and clarity! Pick of the bunch for me. The other one with Nick leaning back is great too - as is the Congos one.

Not sure about the Sex Pistols ones myself, think the angle is a bit strange, but think the 'Oi!' one would make a nice B&W conversion, personally.

Did you enjoy the experience, and more importantly, did you get to enjoy any of the festival without your eye behind the lens? Heard it was a great weekend overall!

+2 A truly gorgeous photo, would have thought any music publication on earth would pant if they saw it.

Barry was in there smoozing around the media tent with his proper media accreditation

I was there too but can't show any pictures just yet. the main stage were the sex pistols were, was very high and the rest of the band looked crap and weren't even lit properly

love that first nick cave shot too

I checked his Flickr and I think it was a 50mm he used, which would explain why I seen no full band shots of the Pistols.

thanks all , funny as usual i preffered something different from nick cave, this one

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebaz/2817560144/

Nick cave was one of the first big gigs i shot and screwed it up last May , so good to get my revenge :)

i'm relativly new to music, and had to hide my 50 amongst the many big white tubes , but i guess i use whats comfortable , shooting the rest of the Pistols was difficult with angles, checked the papers too !!
I was a massive pistols fan, back in the day , i did a b/w of my fav

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebaz/

Faust were visually and rhtymically brill

    and good to meet dotOrg

    b

p.s. have another nice music one to go up from today , so check out later for hopefully a pleasant surprise.

That Grace Jones pic is brilliant.

I heard the buring tower didn't burn on schedule due to the weather. The crowd went mental, because some wanted/needed to be elsewhere soon enough.

Yeah, in bed! That's where I was anyway. It was due to start at 2am so i went for a powernap at 12. when i woke up it was raining, so i decided to skip it.

James - that photo of grace is ridiculously sweet, nice one.

Here's one of Johnny Rotten - i didn't read the waiver in much detail, there's a possibility I'm not allowed post it here but sure whatever...

I would have loved to have seen them, one of my favourite bands. Is the guy painting on the other Faust photo Steven Stapleton from Nurse With Wound? If so, I'm super ****ing pissed I missed them!

Nice photos overall Barry, thanks for making me so jealous! :)

I have some of his paintings here (and by some I mean part of two huge ones that were chopped up and used to house copies of one of his albums).

I love Can too, never saw them but I've seen Damo Suzuki a few times with various backing bands.
