As I mentioned earlier, I've splashed out on a Canon EOS 1000D. I've always wanted a digital SLR, as my trusty old Pentax P30 has been gathering dust for a while now.

I took about 300 pictures on Saturday, of which I've put a few up on PicasaWeb.

I haven't done any processing whatsoever on these, apart from resizing for upload. When I get time later I may pick a few and see what I can do with them, but for now they're straight from the camera.

edit: I should mention that several of the photos are less than artistic - the album is intended more to give a feel for the event than to show off any great artistic prowess, although there are one or two I'm pretty happy with.

Some great shots in there, love the ones in the Church.

Thanks, I was quite pleased with those - I didn't think it would be possible to capture just how incredible that looked in reality.

I took a few quick pictures while playing with the closeup function also, some of them are quite nice. Again, unprocessed and straight from the camera.

This one had me going for a while. The second woman walking down the aisle seemed to be transparent, but I could not see how it was done. Then I realised that the Candle was in fact in front of her.

    Nicely captured. Well done.

It's an annual festival, so you can go next year! Ryanair fly from Dublin to Billund (the Lego airport), and you can get a bus from there.

I'd be bricking it on a Lego plane.
