I'm considering starting an evening class in GMIT (the 8 week courses, not accredited). Has anyone else attended any of these classes, and were they worthwhile?

It really depends on the tutor. Anyone can approach the college with an idea for teaching a course so the person giving the lectures could be anyone. I have heard of some of the evening courses which are supposed to be good but your mileage may vary. Maybe you could ask to contact the tutor before commiting to anything and ask them what they cover and what their approach is?

Did an 8 week part time Spanish course there last year (Spanish Get By) and found it to be great value, Lecturer was very good and got class involved in pronunciation & interaction which made it easier to learn..
