Fixie with a belt drive? From Trek?

    Found this item on bikeradar.com, a new trek singlespeed/fixed (not clear which) with a belt drive rather than a chain? Interesting that it would come from such a mainstream bike maker like Trek. But i guess the development costs would be such that only a big firm could afford to try this.

    It looks like the kind of bike you would fully expect to see someone riding if you jumped into the tardis and set the date 2020. cool

    A few MTB companies have been experimenting with belt-drives for the last couple of years. The jury is still out on how effective they are (in terms of dealing with contamination etc.). Spot in the USA have some models out, and Orange in the UK are working on one.

    You can get a mtb with a belt drive too... supposed to be pretty good
